THDC India Limited along with project management consultant NTPC is evaluating bids for the steam generator package and turbine-generator and associated packages in a 1320 MW (2x660 MW) greenfield super-critical thermal power plant at village Khurja, in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh. BHEL, L&T, Alstom, and Doosan Power have shown their interest in the pre-bid meeting for the steam generator package. The tender submission date is 23 January 2019, but it is likely to get extended by another one month. The root survey of a pipeline for the makeup water system is being conducted by using in-house resources. Apart from this, the bids for the balance of plant package will take some time. THDC India Limited is evaluating the bidding process for the steam generator package in a 1320 MW (2x660 MW) greenfield super-critical thermal power plant at village Khurja, in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh. Also, an IFB for turbine-generator and associated packages has also been floated. NOC for consent to establish has been granted by SPCB on June 2018. NTPC has been selected as the project management consultant. A pre-bid meeting was organized at the NTPC office wherein queries have been raised to change the boiler technical configurations. Power Finance Corporation has agreed to finance the project. Also, a final approval from Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs is expected in the next 2 to 3 months. RFQ for the main plant package covering design, engineering, manufacture, supply. construction, erection, testing and commissioning of boiler, steam turbine generator, steam generator, ESP, NOx control system, FGD, among others is expected shortly. THDC is ongoing with the fencing activities for possession of the land for a 1320 MW (2x660 MW) greenfield super-critical thermal power plant at village Khurja, in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh. The project is getting delayed due to hostile protests of the villagers. Moreover, a court case has been petitioned by one of the project affected family at the high court due to physical possession of the land. Owner has confirmed to come in package wise mode. Start-up is slated for Q3 2019.
