Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited's 48 well exploratory drilling plan in 13 ML blocks of Western Onshore Basin, Gujarat is expected to be delayed by atleast a year, as the project proponent has resubmitted the proposal for the grant of TOR this month. The project had been in limbo after approval was denied under an earlier application way back in 2016. It is pertinent to mention here that the drilling in the fields is expected to start by the mid of next year. A revised EIA is planned to prepared using ONGC's in-house team. Furthermore, all the 13 mining lease blocks are located in Vadodara, Bharuch and Surat Districts with proposed targeted depths up to 6500 M. The equipment required for the project will be drilling rig, cementing services, wireline services, logging services. Further RFQs are expected shortly.

Currently the tendering for drilling fluid is also going on. All 13 ML Blocks are located in Vadodara, Bharuch and Surat Districts. The Targeted depths of proposed exploratory wells shall be up to 6500M. The equipment required for the project will be casing pipes, drilling pipes, cementing services, drill bits, xmas Tree and other oilfield chemicals. Further RFQs are expected shortly.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited is planning exploratory drilling of 48 wells in 13 ML Blocks of Western Onshore Basin, Gujarat. All 13 ML Blocks are located in Vadodara, Bharuch and Surat Districts. The Targeted depths of proposed exploratory wells shall be up to 6500M. The locations are proposed to be drilled by electrical type rigs which will be hired on EPC basis. The equipments required for the project will be casing pipes, drilling pipes, cementing services, drill bits, Xmas Tree and other oilfield chemicals. An EIA consultant has already been hired for the project. Further RFQs are expected shortly.
