HPPCL plans to develop a 30 MW (3x10 MW) greenfield hydroelectric power project at Ravi basin near village Dantoi in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. An MOU has been signed between HPPCL and Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), a French Development Agency for financial support. Installation of 5 ropeways for transportation of construction materials is in progress by the Conveyor & Ropeway Services Pvt Ltd. Environment and forest clearance have been approved by the MOEF. State Government has completed the construction of approach roads. Private land acquisition and public hearing has been completed. Indian prime minister lays foundation stone for this project. Earlier, Aquagreen Engineering Management Pvt. Ltd. has been selected for the project as PMC. A tender has been floated for the civil and hydro-mechanical works. Technical bids will be opened from second week of December 2022.Preparation of tender is in progress for the electromechanical works. Further bids are expected soon.
