AFC India Limited has completed the preparation of the SIA report. WAPCOS has prepared the DPR. The hydrology report was accorded by the CWC. EC for the project has been approved by the MoEF. The forest clearance stage -1 has been granted by DFO but the stage is in progress at the nodal office. Construction of the approach road has been completed. The project envisages the construction of an 87 m high and 3682 m long earthen dam across the Tel river. The interstate boundary with Chhattisgarh state is a major issue in the project. After several meetings, the issue has been resolved. The civil works contractors Patel Engineering have completed the mobilization of equipment at the site. Excavation works are in progress. Civil works package Lot-2 was awarded to HES Infra. and mobilization of equipment is in progress by civil works (lot-2) contractors. The tender has been floated for the hydro-mechanical works and its pre-bid meeting conducted soon. WAPCOS has prepared the DPR. SIA studies were completed by the consultant and it was approved. The collection of three-season baseline data and the hydrology report was accorded by the CWC. Preparation EIA /EMP report was completed. The forest clearance was accorded by the DFO for the diversion of forest land.
