The dam will be built on the Chenab river of the Chamba district of HP. TOR for the same project was granted. Mantec Consultants is preparing an EIA report for the same. WAPCOS is preparing DPR for the project. The hydrology report for the same has been approved by the CWC. Drilling and drifting works at the site are in progress. Forest clearance for the same is pending at the regional office. The geotechnical investigation and the topographical survey report have been approved by the GSI. The approach road construction is in progress and it was getting affected due to the unfavorable weather condition and critical geological terrain. The private land acquisition is in progress. Public hearing phase -1 has been completed and phase two is likely to be conducted on November 2022. The owner has decided to come up with a package-wise tender mode.
