The preparation of tender for hydro-mechanical works is in progress and it is yet to be approved by the UJVNL. Further bids are expected soon. The project has been declared a National Project and has been approved by the technical advisory committee of the CWC. The project authority has completed additional geotechnical investigations at the power plant site and it has been approved by the GSI. The project envisages the construction of a 204m high concrete gravity dam, a 4.3 m, 186.5 m, 211 m, a 235 m long three circulars pressure shaft, a 130 m x 20 m x 46 m D-shaped underground powerhouse. The hydrology report was accorded by CWC and the Government of Uttarakhand. Private land acquisition has already been completed. A public hearing for the same was also conducted. EC was granted by MoEF&CC in 2021. Earlier, the owner floated a tender for the civil works package and the scope of works for this tender includes the construction of a concrete gravity dam, underground powerhouse, and appurtenant works. M/S L&T Infra, HES Infra, Patel Engineering, Ritwik Projects, Patel Engineering, MEIL, HCC, Gamon, and Simplex are the qualified bidders in the technical bids. Price bids for the same will start from the third week of august 2022.
