But L&T Himachal Hydropower Ltd. has decided to drop the project, which was at a capacity of 430 MW because of the high generation cost on account of the difficult terrain where the project was located as well as due to the lack of basic infrastructure, and issues in the evacuation of power. Later, Government of Himachal Pradesh re-allotted the project to SJVN, an MoU was signed for the project. TOR has been granted. The hydrology report has been approved by the CWC. Geotechnical investigation and topographical survey at the site have been completed. WAPCOS is preparing the DPR of the project.
