Himachal Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd (HPPCL) plans to construct a 48 MW (3x16 MW) hydroelectric power project near villages Jakhla and Dantoi in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD), a French Development Agency, has sanctioned the loan for this project. EC and FC has been granted. The owner has selected the JV of MFB-ACNC Ltd. as a contractor for civil works (lot 2) and hydro-mechanical works. Civil works construction are in progress. Excavation works are in progress. HRT works are getting delayed due to bad weather conditions and landslides. The HM works contractor has completed the mobilization of equipment at the site. Bid evaluation is in progress for EM works. The owner had cancelled the tender for transmission line survey works as the no contractor had shown interest in the project. Re-tender has been been floated in October. The preparation of the tender for the transmission line works are in progress. Further bids are expected soon. The major requirement will be 3 vertical shafts Pelton turbines (with four jets), turbine-generator sets (vertical shaft) and associated auxiliaries, transformers, radial gates (along with hoist), vertical lift gates, main inlet valves (MIV), butterfly valves, turbine auxiliaries (motors and control centers), digital governors (with accessories), steel-lined penstock (underground pipeline of ~2.20 m dia), cables, bus ducts and terminal equipment, EOT cranes, DC system (batteries, charger, and DCDB), DG sets, shaft and bearing, couplings, vibration control system, girders, steel ropes, communication system, ventilation system, bays, switchgear, static excitation system, dynamic braking equipment, unit control board (UCB), computerized control system (CCS), video surveillance, substations, and tunnel boring machine (TBM) among others
